Veterans Day

11 Nov

veterans_day

I wanted to remind everyone that today is a special day, Veterans Day. I wanted to ask everyone to think about what that really means. There are men and women who have fought and died for your freedom so we can stay here and enjoy the lives we all have. I think all those knuckleheads who are taking a knee and the other protests have a legal right to do so. But many of them would just as soon spit on a soldier as thank him or her. It’s ironic that the soldier is putting his life on the line so the protester can have the freedom to do what they are doing. Even many of our military who are not serving in an active battle zone are still making extreme sacrifices on our behalf. Many of them are away from the birth of their children, hearing them say their first word or take their first step. They miss birthdays, ballet dances, ball games, recitals and all the hundreds of everyday blessings we take for granted. So today if you see someone in uniform, thank them for their service and shake their hand. They are the reason you and I have the freedoms we sometimes take for granted.

Today is a special day, a day to honor those who sacrificed so much to protect our country. Take a little time to say “thank you for your service”, they will appreciate it. I noticed this morning, McDonald’s is giving free food items for Vets and I saw several Vets siting there telling stories to each other. So here is my thanks to all of you Vets.

I wanted to remind everyone that today is a special day, Veterans Day. I wanted to ask everyone to think about what that really means. There are men and women who have fought and died for your freedom so we can stay here and enjoy the lives we all have. I think all those knuckleheads who are protesting Wall Street and the other protests have a legal right to do so. But many of them would just as soon spit on a soldier as thank him or her. It’s ironic that the soldier is putting his life on the line so the protester can have the freedom to do what they are doing. Here is a short tribute to the troops, give it a listen and think about how much they sacrifice on our behalf. Say a prayer for all of our military members and their loved ones. God Bless Our Troops!!!

Veterans Day

veteransday

On this day I would like to send out my thanks to all those who have served our country. There is no way to thank our veterans enough for the sacrifices they have made on our behalf. And when I see the fiasco the VA has become it makes me want to hurl a chair through a window. I spent a good amount of time in the Memphis VA hospital 2 years ago with Sweet Thing’s Dad, and I will say they took good care of him there, but many of the other hospitals were not so accommodating. I am glad they appointed someone to try and correct all the gross mishandling of our veterans who were being mistreated and neglected when they needed our help the most. So once again let’s say Thank You to all our Veterans and God Bless America. And since it is time for Tuesday Tunes, how about the classic from Kate Smith?

God Bless Our Troops

Tomorrow our nation will officially celebrate Veteran’s Day. In truth, every day should be Veteran’s day.  We should pause and honor all those who served, past and present, and thank them for their service. Even many of you liberal “progressives” who tend to look down on our military with such disdain, our troops are what gives you the freedom to vote for your beloved Messiah, Barrack Hussein Obama. So let us all, each and every one thank our veterans and say God Bless Our Troops. And God Bless America. May she once again return to be the beacon of hope and freedom for the world that she once was.
