I scheduled this post to go up at 7pm as usual, even though I know most of you will be busy watching the Super Bowl. I will be watching even though I really don’t care which team wins, it is still a tradition. I won’t be engaging in a big Super Bowl party with a bunch of guys, I will be relaxing and enjoying it with my Sweet Thing. I know a lot of you ladies don’t understand the “ big game party”, and really hate to see it because you get left out and oftentimes have to deal with the aftermath.

But you shouldn’t complain too much, after all, you are always wanting your man to “open up his emotions” and “express his feelings”. Well, this is as close as some men ever get to doing that, we bond with our friends over the big game. One of the reasons  we like this Super Bowl activity so much is the day is a “B” day for us. And what is a “B” day you ask? It is a day filled with important manly things starting with the letter “B”.

For instance, we get to spend time together with our Bros.

There is Burping and Belching.

And when done to excess, there may be Barfing involved, although this is to be avoided if possible. So as you can see, it is an important “B” day for us. So if you are not invited, or just don’t want to join in, go shopping instead and come home and deal with the carnage and be happy the Super Bowl only comes once a year!

I spent my Super Bowl Sunday bringing together literary and sports culture, writing a humorous prompted poem “Colin Who? (A Super Bowl XLVII Poetic Tribute)” You can find it at –

I’d love for you to check it out and tell me what you think.
