Wilma’s Pool

25 Jun

We had been noticing Wilma would play in their drinking dish, even putting the top of her head in the dish. Sweet Thing bought a $12 plastic pool at Lowe’s and Wilma loves it.

She romps and splashes, even holding her head underwater then she comes up just a grinning! Jethro on the other hand just stands there and looks at her like “are you crazy?” I haven’t had time to mess with him, I think he will need a little coaxing to get him in the pool!

most dogs love water, especially the kind of dog that you have adopted….if you have a pond or lake and they were running loose they would be swimming every chance they get. i wish my sharpeis liked water but they dont-when they get loose and go on the run i know that they wont get far as we are surrounded by creek..to catch them i just amble up to whatever part of the creek they are at and grab them..water and the thought of getting their feet wet brings them to a complete and utter stop. i have been known to turn on the sprinklers just to convince them to come indoors at night…sure beats chasing them!

Sounds like that sprinkler trick is just the thing to save you some aggravation!

I made my little dog his very own pool out of the old bath tub. It’s ok for his size he’s big enough not to drown. Man is he happy with all these days of heat. I can’t get him out of there sometimes. I take him out he hops in behind my back.

Dave, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, with all this heat any way we can give our animals some relief is good.
